Further training in oncological care

The advanced training center for specialist nurses in oncology offers the opportunity to complete part-time training to become a "specialist nurse for oncological care".

The advanced training enables i.a. to

    Recording of the special care needs resulting from the cancer and its treatment
    Planning, execution and evaluation of nursing interventions
    Guidance, advice and support for people with cancer and their caregivers
    Symptom and side effect management
    Basic psychosocial care
    Processing of occupational stress

The lessons take place theoretically and practically. The practical training takes place in internal, operative and radiotherapy departments for approx. 3-4 months each. Insights into palliative-oriented forms of care and stem cell transplantation are also part of the training. The advanced training facility for specialist nurses in oncology offers the opportunity to complete part-time training to become a "specialist nurse for oncological care".
The 2-year course is attended part-time. Entry requirements are completed training in health and nursing or health and children's nursing and professional experience in caring for cancer patients.
