Central study unit KKS / CCC
The central study unit was set up in 2019 with the participation of the Medical Faculty. The unit is managed by the CCC (Prof. Dr. T. Wündisch) and the KKS (coordination center for clinical studies, headed by Ms. Schade-Brittinger) and currently employs 5 study nurses, a pharmacist and a PTA.
The central study unit cooperates closely with the largest study office at the UGKM Marburg, which is located in the Clinic for Hematology, Oncology and Immunology (Prof. Neubauer). Uniform structures (e.g. study register, site management) are being developed.
There is close coordination and cooperation within the framework of studies with the other decentralized study secretariats (in particular radio-oncology / MIT, gastroenterology, urology, dermatology, neuro-oncology). Here, too, the aim is to have completely standardized structures.
Work is ongoing on the further development of quality standards and central training courses are offered for study personnel (GCP courses for investigators and study personnel are carried out by the Coordination Center for Clinical Studies –KKS- Marburg).
There is also close cooperation with the Study Coordination Center (CTCN) of the UCT Frankfurt. All oncological studies in Marburg are listed in the joint study register.
